Privacy Policy

For Us is available worldwide, so this policy is written to reflect major privacy laws across regions — including the EU/UK (GDPR), California (CCPA/CPRA), Canada (PIPEDA), Brazil (LGPD), India (DPDP Act 2023), and Australia. If a right described below isn't legally required where you live, we still try to honor it.

For Us ("the app", "we", "us", "our") is developed by an independent developer and published under the GlitGrace name. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app collects, how it's used, who it's shared with, and the rights you have over it, wherever in the world you're using the app from.

Who this policy covers

This policy applies to anyone who downloads or uses the For Us Android app, available on Google Play globally. It does not apply to third-party services (like Google Play or Google AdMob) beyond what's described below — those services have their own privacy policies.

Information we collect

Most of what For Us does — Guess Me, Alone Now, and the Light/Dark mode activities — works without an account. The app also offers optional sign-in with your Google Account, which lets us recognise you across sessions and understand how many people use For Us.

Content you create — such as your names, saved activities, Guess Me answers and scores, unlocked rewards, and streak data — is stored locally on your device, not on our servers. Guess Me is a pass-the-phone game: both partners' answers stay on the single device you're sharing, with nothing sent elsewhere.
Google account information — if you choose to sign in with Google, we receive basic profile details from Google: your name, email address, profile picture, and a unique account identifier. We use this to identify your account and to measure the total number of people using the app. We do not receive your Google password.
Advertising identifiers and usage data may be collected automatically by our advertising partner, Google AdMob, as described below.
Device and diagnostic information (such as device model, OS version, and crash logs) may be processed by Google Play's standard app distribution and crash-reporting infrastructure, independent of anything we configure directly.

Signing in with Google is optional — you can continue using the app's core features without an account. We do not knowingly collect precise location, contacts, photos, messages, or financial information.

How we use information

To run the app's features on your device (activities, Guess Me, Alone Now, streaks, rewards).
To recognise your account if you sign in with Google, and to keep a count of how many people use For Us.
To display and measure advertising through Google AdMob, which keeps the app free.
To diagnose crashes and technical problems via Google Play's standard tooling.
To respond to you if you contact us for support.

Legal bases for processing (EEA/UK)

If you're in the European Economic Area or the UK, we rely on the following legal bases under the GDPR / UK GDPR:

Legitimate interests — for basic app functionality and keeping the service running.
Consent — for personalised advertising, where required (for example, under the ePrivacy Directive for ad identifiers). You can withdraw consent at any time through your device's ad settings.
Legal obligation — where we're required to retain or disclose information by law.

Advertising

For Us shows ads through Google AdMob to keep the app free. Depending on your region and settings, AdMob may collect device identifiers (such as the Android Advertising ID), general device information, approximate location (derived from IP address), and interaction data to serve and measure ads — including personalised / interest-based ads where permitted, or non-personalised ads where required (for example, for EEA/UK users who haven't consented, or where mandated by local law).

Google's use of this data is governed by Google's own privacy policy, available at policies.google.com/privacy. AdMob operates globally and may transfer data internationally as described in Google's policy, including to the United States.

Our app-ads.txt declaration, required by Google for authorised ad sellers, is published at /app-ads.txt.

Google Sign-In

For Us uses Google Identity Services to let you sign in with your existing Google Account, so you don't need to create a new username or password. When you sign in, Google shares your name, email address, profile picture, and a unique account identifier with us. This information is used solely to identify your account within For Us and to give us an accurate count of how many people use the app — we do not use it for any other purpose, and we don't sell it. Google's handling of your account information during sign-in is separately governed by Google's Privacy Policy.

You can revoke For Us's access to your Google Account at any time from your Google Account permissions page. To have your account information deleted from our records entirely, see Account & Data Deletion.

Do we sell or share your information?

We do not sell your personal information for money. Depending on how your region's law defines it, the advertising identifiers shared with Google AdMob for personalised advertising may be considered a "sale" or "sharing" under laws like the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA). You can opt out of this at any time — see "Your privacy rights" below.

International data transfers

Because our advertising partner (Google) operates globally, information collected through AdMob may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own, including the United States, under Google's standard contractual safeguards. We don't operate our own servers that store your personal data outside your device.

Data retention

Content you create in the app stays on your device for as long as the app is installed, or until you clear it yourself. We don't hold a separate copy. If you sign in with Google, we keep your account information (name, email, profile picture, account identifier) for as long as your account exists, or until you ask us to delete it — see Account & Data Deletion. Advertising identifiers are retained by Google according to Google's own retention policies.

Data storage and security

Content you create inside the app — including Guess Me sessions, Alone Now story progress, and reward history — is stored locally on your device. If a future version of the app adds cloud backup or sync (for example, to let partners play Guess Me on separate devices), this policy will be updated to describe what's stored, where, and for how long before that feature ships.

Your privacy rights, by region

European Economic Area & UK (GDPR / UK GDPR): you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or port your personal data, to object to processing, and to withdraw consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal. You can also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

California & other U.S. states (CCPA/CPRA and similar state laws): you have the right to know what personal information is collected, to request deletion, to correct inaccurate information, and to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information (including for cross-context behavioural advertising). We do not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

Canada (PIPEDA): you have the right to access your personal information and challenge its accuracy.

Brazil (LGPD): you have rights to confirmation, access, correction, anonymisation, portability, and deletion of your personal data.

India (DPDP Act, 2023): as a Digital Personal Data Principal, you have the right to access, correct, update, and erase your personal data, and to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.

Australia (Privacy Act 1988): you have the right to access and correct your personal information, and to make a complaint if you believe your privacy has been breached.

Wherever you're located, you can exercise any of these rights, or ask a question about how they apply to you, by emailing contact@glitgrace.in. Because most content in For Us never leaves your device, many of these requests (like deletion) can be completed instantly by clearing app data or uninstalling — see "Your choices" below. If you've signed in with Google, you can request deletion of your account information through our dedicated Account & Data Deletion page.

Your choices

You can reset or clear the app's local data at any time from your device's app settings.
You can opt out of personalised advertising through your device's Google Ads settings (Android: Settings → Privacy → Ads → Delete advertising ID, or Opt out of Ads Personalization).
You can uninstall the app at any time, which removes all locally stored data from your device.
If you signed in with Google, you can request deletion of your account and associated data via our Account & Data Deletion page, or by revoking access from your Google Account permissions.
You can email us to ask what we hold about you or to request deletion of anything we can access.

Children's privacy

For Us includes romantic and intimate content intended for adult couples and is not directed at children. You must meet the age of majority (or the minimum age of digital consent) in your country to use the app — generally 18, though this may be lower where local law permits with parental consent. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the relevant minimum age under your local law, such as 16 in parts of the EEA). If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us so we can address it.

Third-party services

For Us uses Google Sign-In (Google Identity Services) for optional account sign-in, and Google AdMob for advertising, alongside Google Play's standard app distribution services. For Us does not currently integrate any other third-party analytics or authentication services. If that changes, this section will be updated to name the service, its purpose, and what it collects.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the app evolves or as laws change. Material changes will be reflected with a new "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Where required by law (for example, under GDPR), we'll seek renewed consent for material changes affecting how we use your data.
